Product Description 1978's HEARTS OF STONE closed out a trilogy of classic Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes albums which also included 1976's I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME and 1977's THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL. Like its predecessors, HEARTS OF STONE sticks closely to the band's proven formula--soul merged with rock played by one of the best bar bands to ever grace a concert stage. Produced by Miami Steve Van Zandt (aka Little Steven) Van Zandt wrote much of the material, along with 2 Bruce Springsteen contributions and a collaboration of Van Zandt, Springsteen and Southside Johnny Lyon. The material is all rooted in basic R&B and each contributor gave their best to what was an outstanding jewel in the Asbury Juke's crown.  Standouts include the title track, one of Southside Johnny's best known tunes, as well as the album opener, "Got to Be a Better Way Home. "   Details Producer: Steve Van Zandt Distributor: Sony Music Distribution Recording type: Studio Recording mode: Stereo SPAR Code: n/a
