In the late '80s, Jonathan Cain and guitarist Neal Schon, who had enjoyed enormous success in Journey, continued on to team up with vocalist John Waite and other arena rock veterans to form the American rock band supergroup Bad English. Bad English also reunited keyboardist Jonathan Cain with singer John Waite and bassist Ricky Phillips, his former bandmates in The Babys. One of the last supergroups of the decade, they made power ballads like there was no tomorrow, and they did it better than most because Waite could carry a tune and Schon created the power ballad prototype during his years in Journey. The first album, eponymously titled, was released in late 1989/early 1990. The group scored two huge hit singles including the number one hit When I See You Smile, written by Diane Warren, and top 10 hit "Price of Love " .   Credits:   Bass - Ricky PhillipsDrums - Deen CastronovoKeyboards - Jonathan Cain Producer - Richie ZitoVocals - John Waite   SAMPLE PHOTO OF POSTER
